Spring is in the air...Colorado style

We knew these 60 degree pre-spring days --->
would not last--it is, afterall, March in Colorado!!

Locks of Love

Sophie's goal was to grow her hair and donate it to Locks of Love so she could help kids with cancer. I told her that she'd probably have the required 10 inches over Spring Break and sure enough when we went to the salon today, she did! She thought it would also be fun to have pierced ears to go along with her new short do--we thought that was the least we could do for her after being so nice!!

St. Patty's Day continued...

Oh dear, I guess our little crocus didn't get the memo about the incoming snow on Friday...

Our brown-eyed girl sure enjoyed today's calm before the storm!

Julia caught up on some (overdue) homework. Oops--she forgot to bring it home yesterday so she had extra reading and writing today. (Her pleasant expression hides the bite of the many grumbly comments she was making)

And Emma and I spent the evening tying little "VOTE EMMA FOR MAYOR" notes on 120 dum dum pops for their big 5th grade Young Ameritowne election tomorrow (a little bribery never hurts--she WON!!) : )
