We used Spring Break to catch up on some fun--a few fabulous days of grandparent time and also some unfinished business--desk cleaning, homework, and bike riding. Sophie also had a trip to the doctor to find out why her nose is eternally stuffy. Has been ever since last fall.
Her doctor suspected allergies & ordered a prescription nose spray and blood allergy test. She sailed through the blood test like a trooper exclaiming that yes, a blood draw does hurt less than being bit by her sister (the phlebotomist told her it would). The results showed she's allergic to...CATS! Bummer we have two, but at least we know what's up with her silly nose!!
The allergy seems to coincide with Julia receiving her new loft bed for her birthday last August...hence JoJo can no longer get up to sleep with her...hence JoJo has been sleeping on Sophie's chest every night...hence the stuff. Poor Sophie--she loves the cats!!!
So we washed all her bedding and now close her door at night so the "known allergen" won't hop up and plant herself under Sophie's nose. Hopefully that will help!!
On the up side, she's not allergic to Mugwort or dust mites--so that's good!

Tommy O'Reardon Was Here
The girls left notes in hopes that a leprechaun would visit our house last night and indeed, one did! He left his messy little footprints all over the place too.
Pesky Leprechauns!

(Sophie's note asked him to write his name...that's how we knew it was Tommy O'Reardon...he signed his name, of course. Julia's note said, "Dear Leprechaun, this [playground] is for you. Do you collect anything? Write your answer on the back.")

Meet & Greet
The other day, we decided it was high time for Mack to meet Heiden & MaryJane. So they met us for a quick walk. The meeting went well and Heiden didn't eat Mack at all so that was a relief. haha. Next, we're hoping for a play date at Aidan's house--that should be good and sloppy fun!!
