I loved these days...and I miss onesies...

I still break out the book Julia is reading & read it every now and then...whether a kid is with me or not!

Made our way up Eldorado Canyon today to check out the pool "hidden" in there since 1905.  Very fun...but very cold (the pool is fed by Eldorado Springs & their heater was on the fritz).  The girls didn't mind one bit...just their parents who mostly sat on the edge enjoying the Fleetwood Mac & John Denver playing over the loud speaker.  Skies were clear & the view couldn't be beat.   Surprised we've missed it all these years--and pleasantly surprised this old school metal water slide hasn't been safety- recalled out of existence!!

I enjoy when the animal kingdom takes the color scheme of my house into consideration when adding their decorator touch.  I'd love to not knock down this wasp nest which happens to be right next to my front door...it matches the house so beautifully.  Couldn't they have found a lovely little woodsy clearing somewhere away from the people?  If the nest stayed that small to house only the one that's working on it I'd be happy. I have a feeling from watching the busy construction site, that the party invitations have already been sent...

empty nesters...but still together

Our little doves have left the nest and look all official and dove-like.  They didn't make it far from their tree of origin...just over to the neighbor's roof but hey, they made it that far.  Go little fellas!  It was nice to watch you grow!
