What's with the meteorologists' new trend of naming winter storms?  If that's going to keep happening, I vote for the names Lame, What The, and Why?  Really, I hope the urge to name everything that passes a news desk ends quickly, and namelessly.  Call me Crazy...that's just me.

Whew, I feel better getting THAT off my chest.  We're passing our most recent snowy day in traditional lazy-day style.  All the usual stuff...blogging...doodling...

What makes a kid smile like this? 

Why, it's winning the drawing to bring the classroom Anole home with her.   For good.  As in, forever.  Or however long Anoles live. 

In case you're wondering, this is an Anole:

Is it green?  Is it brown?  The answer is...YES. Anoles are also known as American Chameleons so he's like a little lizard mood ring...changing from green to brown depending on his mood...or whatever.

  He doesn't bite (so far) but he does tend to enjoy licking, and he can devour a live cricket in about 6 seconds. What could be better than that!?  He's a fun distraction after our poor bunny passed on to bunny heaven yesterday.  Welcome little Bobby...
