We had quite the busy day today. First we took Charlie to the vet...clean bill of health except for a little feline acne on his chin (lovingly renamed "Catne" by his three human sisters).
Then we went to the grand opening of a fantastic new swimming pool for our school district which is conveniently located practically down the street from us. I'm now actively encouraging the girls to pursue a career on the swim team--what a nice facility that is! The land was donated to the district by the city and it is dedicated to and named for veterans. There were quite a lot of veterans there at the ceremony
and there were free cookies. What could be better?!?
Finally, we had to swing Julia by the doctor to see about her neverending cough. Turns out, she has bronchitis and needed Albuterol administered via nebulizer at the office. Then they sent her home with a prescription for Azithromycin (didn't I order that on my spaghetti at the Spaghetti Factory?) and an inhaler to be used 3x/day. On a positive note, my vocabulary was enhanced exponentially today, thanks to Kaiser Permanente! Hopefully Julia will be feeling better before her big solo in the 2nd grade musical next week!!!
Even with all that, the girls had time to celebrate the first snow of the season with a snowball fight and a quick little tabletop snowman! What a day!
