Anyway, I caught her stopped mid-book, napping in a sunbeam. If Emma puts down a book to nap--she must be sick! Poor little gal.

Home Sick or This is what Walking Pneumonia Looks Like
That's really home sick not...homesick. Meaning Emma was sick at home...not actually missing home. In fact, she would really rather be at school than home with a sniffly, coughy fever. She's one of those people.
So technically, while she stayed home from school today, she was actually schoolsick...or something.

finally got some antibiotics and an inhaler yesterday so she should be better soon!
